‘How to be Both’ wins Goldsmiths prize

How to be Both (Ali Smith, Hamish Hamilton) has won the £10,000 (A$17,890) Goldsmiths prize, a literary award established to ‘reward fiction that breaks the mould or opens up new possibilities for the novel form’. The prize was first awarded in 2013, to A Girl is a Half-formed Thing by Eimear McBride (Text). The award was established by Goldsmiths, University of London and the New Statesman.
