Debut novel ‘The Lost Swimmer’ optioned for film

Film rights to Australian author Ann Turner’s debut thriller The Lost Swimmer (S&S) have been optioned by producer Sue Maslin from the production company Film Art Media.

Turner will write the screenplay and co-produce the film. She told Books+Publishing, ‘It’s a real coup to have Sue come on board, as she is such a talented and highly experienced producer.’

Maslin’s production credits include Japanese Story and the forthcoming film adaptation of Rosalie Ham’s The Dressmaker. Maslin and Turner have previously worked together on the film Irresistible, for which Turner was the writer and director, and Maslin the executive producer.

The Lost Swimmer was published by Simon & Schuster in June this year.
