National Young Writers’ Month 2015 program launched

Express Media has launched the 2015 program for National Young Writers’ Month, its annual June event for young writers across Australia.

This years’ program includes 14 livestreamed discussions with young writers and artists, covering topics that include: writing as a career with comedian Zoë Norton Lodge; the impact of winning the Scribe Nonfiction Prize with previous winners Oliver Mol, Briohny Doyle and Robbie Arnott; an explanation of the editorial process with Lucy Adams and an editing workshop with Voiceworks editor Elizabeth Flux; and a ‘Freelance 101’ session that covers ABNs, invoicing and the business of freelance writing.

The program also includes competition launches for the John Marsden/Hachette Australia Prize for Young Australian Writers and the Scribe Nonfiction Prize, and the launch of youth literary journal Voiceworks #100 in multiple cities across Australia.
