EWF 2015 program launched

The program for this year’s Emerging Writers’ Festival (EWF), to be held in Melbourne from 26 May to 5 June, has been launched.

The festival begins with an ‘opening night extravaganza’ on 26 May, featuring international guest writer Emily St John Mandel, and the announcement of the winners of the Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for an Unpublished Manuscript and the Monash Prize for Undergraduate Creative Writing.

The two-day National Writers’ Conference runs as part of the festival from 30-31 May. Participating in this year’s conference are Kylie Ladd, Anna Poletti, William McInnes, Sulari Gentill, Oslo Davis, Ni Made Purnamasari, Aan Mansyurin, Deryn Mansell, Joe Toohey, Justine Hyde and Esther Anatolitis.

Some of the program’s highlights include #writingwhilefemale, a full day of panels, workshops and performances discussing major issues and celebrating women in writing; and Open Archive, a multimedia, collaborative event exploring the new possibilities of a ‘reading night’.

The festival’s full program is available here.
