Mantel, Gilbert to participate in Perth Writers Festival, 2015 line-up announced
The Perth Writers Festival has announced a number of authors appearing at its 2015 event.
Among the international guests participating in the festival, which runs from 19 to 22 February, are UK author Hilary Mantel, US author Elizabeth Gilbert and US lawyer Bryan Stevenson.
Mantel and Gilbert will be taking part in two separate sessions on the same night at the Perth Concert Hall, with tickets available for individual sessions as well as a combined ticket. Mantel’s session will be a live in-conversation via video link from London.
Stevenson, a campaigner for equality in the criminal justice system and a popular TED speaker, will share ‘stories of courage and mercy’ at the closing night of the festival.
The opening night address will be delivered by UK-Australian human rights lawyer Geoffrey Robertson.
