AusRomToday Reader’s Choice Awards 2014 nominees announced

The nominees for the inaugural AusRomToday Reader’s Choice Awards have been announced.

Administered by the recently launched AusRomToday website, the awards are intended to showcase Australian romance writing to readers worldwide.

Founder of the AusRomToday website J’aimee Brooker told Books+Publishing that Lesley Jones appeared in both new and established author categories due to releases in both 2013 and 2014 which made her ‘neither exclusively new or established’. ‘After much deliberation we decided that given the number of votes we would have to include her in both categories,’ said Brooker.

Brooker said the awards had ‘garnered unprecedented support from readers’ with more than 2000 nominations entered from over 102 countries.

Readers can vote for their favourite romance authors on the Facebook page until 30 November and the winners will be announced in early December.
