‘Guardian’ Masterclass at Ubud Writers & Readers Festival

The Guardian is thrilled to be taking its masterclasses to Ubud Writers & Readers Festival. This festival attracts renowned international and Australian authors as well as enthusiastic audiences. The full program is launched soon, but the first release of writers and thinkers reveals names such as Nam Le, Moshin Hamid, Emily Bitto and Sofie Laguna.

The masterclass consists of structured time and lessons in the morning with Brigid Delaney, (Guardian features editor and author) with the afternoons and evenings free to enjoy the festival. The participants will be invited to exclusive VIP events such as the gala opening at Ubud Palace and a special dinner with festival guests hosted by Janet de Neefe, the director of the festival. Janet is well known for not only establishing this festival but for her cooking school and a special cooking class is included for our course participants.

The package includes accommodation in a large Balinese house shared with other like-minded souls, each having their own room to retreat to after a day of learning and festival activities. The lovely pool, garden and verandah will offer lots of nooks to write but also to sleep and read. It is a holiday after all!

This course will fill up fast so spread the word, tell your friends or book now for yourself! For more information and to book, click here.
