Opponents ask for more time to assess revised Google Settlement

A group of opponents to the Google Book Search Settlement have filed a letter urging judge on the case, Denny Chin, 'not to restrict comments on a revised settlement and to allow more time for would-be class members to assess any proposed revisions', reports Publishers Weekly.

The letter comes after Judge Chin set 9 November as the date by which parties in the settlement must submit their revisions.

Attorneys for the parties have said they hope for a final hearing on the new settlement as early as in late December or early January. Opponents say this timeline is unrealistic.
