UK publishers' sales fall by volume, but price increases lessen effect

UK publishers' sales declined by 9.2% in volume over the same period last year in the first six months of 2009, according to the Publishers Association Sales Monitor (PASM). An increase in prices, particularly in export markets, propped up sales revenues, which declined by only 0.5%, BookBrunch reports.
