Alice Munro wins Booker International

Canadian short story writer Alice Munro has won the 60,000 pound ($121,000) Man Booker International Prize. The 77-year-old is the third author to win the biennial prize."I am totally amazed and delighted," said Munro. She beat competition from shortlisted authors including V S Naipaul, Mario Vargas Llosa and Australian Peter Carey.
