Random House UK is to launch a list of 'enhanced' e-books offering extras such as videos, games, quizzes, photos and author interviews. The Book and Beyond list will be available from 20 April and can be played on PCs, Macs and laptops but not on standalone e-readers or mobile phones.The 10-strong launch list draws on titles from across the Random House Group, including books by Danny Wallace, Lee Child, Derren Brown, Jacqueline Wilson and Markus Zusak. Each offers different 'extras', such as an 'animated graphic novel' featuring Jack Reacher for Lee Child's Nothing to Lose or a 'Catch the ghosts' game for Jacqueline Wilson's My Sister Jodie. Readers of Zusak's The Book Thief can decide whether to read or listen to the book at the start of each chapter.
