Sony adopts .EPUB standard; Reader on sale in the UK

Sony has adopted the .EPUB standard for e-books for its Sony Reader device, opening it up to allow e-books from many different sources to be read on the Sony Reader. The Reader is also set to go on sale in the UK shortly.
