The estate of JRR Tolkien and HarperCollins have filed a lawsuit in the US against New Line Cinema, the producer of the 'Lord of the Rings' films. The US$150 million suit alleges underpayment of royalities and it could scuttle plans for a two-film series based on The Hobbit.
