Fanfic writers call for copyright shake-up

Following recent challenges to a proposed Harry Potter encylopedia by J K Rowling and her publishers, a group of 'fanfic' (fan fiction) writers know as the Organization for Transformative Works is proposing a shake-up of how copyright treats such 'derivative' works.
