Oz romance authors nominated for 2015 RITA Awards

Three Australian authors have been nominated for the Romance Writers of America (RWA) 2015 RITA Awards.

The RITA Awards, which recognise excellence in romance novels and novellas, are divided into 12 categories. Works by Australian authors are finalists in the following categories:

Contemporary Romance: Mid-length

  • Her Kind of Trouble (Sarah Mayberry, Mills & Boon)

 

Paranormal Romance

  • Forged by Desire (Bec McMaster, Sourcebooks)

 

Best First Book

  • Fake (Beck Nicholas, Harlequin Teen).

 

English author Louise George, who is a Romance Writers of Australia member and New Zealand resident, was also nominated in the category of Contemporary Romance: Short for Enemies with Benefits (Mills & Boon).

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 25 July as part of the RWA annual conference in New York. For the full list of finalists, click here.
