Collins partners with beyondblue in Christmas Reading Guide

Collins Booksellers will donate a percentage of sales of selected books from its 2015 Christmas Reading Guide to the non-profit organisation beyondblue.

Ten percent of the sales of 12 titles marked in the catalogue with a beyondblue sticker will go to the organisation to support its work in mental health. The titles have also been marked with the beyondblue sticker in Collins Booksellers stores.

Collins Booksellers communications officer Cosima McGrath told Books+Publishing it’s the first time the chain has partnered with the charity, with participating publishers also offering their support. ‘We feel this is an important charity to support as mental health issues are often acutely felt in regional areas where the majority of our stores are located,’ said McGrath. ‘Both beyondblue and the Collins Booksellers team are incredibly grateful to the publishers for supporting this partnership.’

Collins has also launched its second annual ‘Win One Copy of Every Book in the Catalogue Competition’, which is promoted in the Christmas Reading Guide and in stores. The winner will receive 325 titles, worth over $10,000. The competition closes on 31 December.
