Robotham shortlisted for CWA Gold Dagger

Life or Death by Australian author Michael Robotham (Sphere) has been shortlisted for the 2015 Crime Writers’ Association (CWA) Gold Dagger award for best crime novel in the UK.

Life or Death is one of seven books shorlisted for the Gold Dagger, which is presented for a crime novel published in the UK between 1 June 2014 and 31 May 2015. The shortlist for the Gold Dagger was announced along with the shortlists for the Ian Fleming Steel and John Creasey Dagger awards and several Dagger award winners.

Among the winners are Camille (Pierre Lemaitre, trans by Frank Wynne, Quercus), which won the CWA International Dagger; In Plain Sight: The Life and Lies of Jimmy Savile (Dan Davies, Quercus), which won the CWA Nonfiction Dagger and The Seeker (S G MacLean, Quercus), which won the Endeavour Historical Dagger. The Dagger in the Library was awarded to Christopher Fowler for his body of work.

As previously reported by Books+Publishing, Catherine Aird is the recipient of this year’s Diamond Dagger, which is presented to an author ‘with an outstanding body of work in crime fiction’ whose career is ‘marked by sustained excellence’.
