Tasmanian Writers and Readers Festival announces full line-up

The Tasmanian Writers and Readers Festival has released the full program for its 2015 festival, which runs from 11-13 September in Hobart.

Joining Don Watson, Bob Brown, Cate Kennedy and Kathryn Lomer, who were announced as festival guests last month, are writers Favel Parrett, Michael Robotham, Carmel Bird and Omar Musa, among others.

The festival also includes the announcement of the Gwen Harwood Poetry Prize and the Geoff Dean Short Story Prize.

The biennial festival, which previously ran as part of the Ten Days on the Island Festival, renamed the Tasmanian International Arts Festival, is being run independently this year. This year’s theme is ‘truth and imagination’.
