Think Australian, the rights/export magazine produced each year by Bookseller+Publisher to showcase Australian attendees at the Frankfurt Book Fair, will this year partner with international publishing industry news service Publishing Perspectives.
Think Australian will be distributed to over 15,000 Frankfurt Book Fair visitors as an insert in the Fair Daily printed edition of Publishing Perspectives on Thursday 7 October. Think Australian will also be mailed in advance of the fair to over 2000 blue-chip international publishers and agents; extra copies will be available on the APA Australian stand at Frankfurt; and an emag version will be hosted at booksellerandpublisher.com.au.
‘We are very excited about this new partnership with Publishing Perspectives,' said Thorpe-Bowker publisher Tim Coronel. ‘Publishing Perspectives has direct connections to the Frankfurt Book Fair and the German Book Office in many countries around the world, offering truly international coverage. Having Think Australian included in the PP Fair Daily will ensure that the message about Australian companies' presence at Frankfurt will get to a much larger audience than we've been able to reach previously.'
Thomas Minkus, Frankfurt Book Fair's VP for Emerging Media & English Language Markets, said ‘As a truly international news service, Publishing Perspectives is very excited to partner with Bookseller+Publisher this year and to be able to bring more information about the global publishing business in Australia and elsewhere to our readers around the world.'
For the first time this year, Think Australian will also include the Australian Publishers Association's full exhibitor list, alongside the usual market overview and rights survey articles, bestseller and award-winner lists, and title previews of some of the key books Australian publishers will be showcasing at Frankfurt.
