Hinkler sells Engage Literacy to Capstone

Hinkler has announced it has sold its international literacy program Engage Literacy to US publisher Capstone

Capstone is the exclusive distributor of the Engage Literacy program in North America, the UK and Ireland.

Hinkler said the sale of the program was ‘a natural divestment’, as recent growth in the craft, stationery and toy product categories was more aligned with the company’s core book business and ‘requires increased focus’.

Hinkler Education was established four years ago to create the Engage Literacy program for the supplemental education markets worldwide. ‘This precisely levelled international literacy program has been extremely well received by both the market and educators alike,’ said Hinkler. ‘[We wish] Capstone every success with the Engage Literacy Program.’
