Di Morrissey to release first picture book

Harbour Publishing House has announced it will publish Di Morrissey’s first children’s picture book in October.

Sonoma Meets Miss Mouse, written by Morrissey and illustrated by local artist Julie Sydenham, is a ‘heartwarming tale of a little girl named Sonoma and her new best friend’.

Harbour Publishing House publicist Laura Bray told Books+Publishing that Morrissey has plans to ‘create a whole series based around the main character’, who was inspired by her first grandchild.

Harbour Publishing House was created in 2012 by Michelle and Garry Evans, owners of Harbour Bookshop Ulladulla in New South Wales.

‘As long time friends of Garry and Michelle, Di Morrissey was quick to jump on-board with her first children’s picture book,’ said Bray.
