2012 ABIA finalists announced
The finalists for this year’s Australian Book Industry Awards (ABIAs) have been announced.
The winners of the awards, as well as the Lloyd O’Neil Award and the Pixie O’Harris Award, will be announced at the ABIAs presentation dinner in Sydney on 18 May as part of this year’s Sydney Writers’ Festival.

The Australian Publishers Association (APA) has also announced that it will present a new award for digital innovation as part of this year’s ABIAs. The Book Industry Digital Innovation Award will be sponsored by Publishing Technology and aims to celebrate ‘a digital initiative’ created by an Australian business or individuals and which has ‘provided a meaningful contribution to raising awareness of books both within and outside of the industry’. Nominations are now open for the award and can be submitted via the APA website.
